I wanted to write to tell you how much we enjoyed our visit to Dounan’s over the past couple of weeks. The accommodation was clean and very comfortable. The Centre staff were very hospitable and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. The way they went about their work was a credit to the organisation. The food was excellent and the staff in the kitchen/dining area were lovely. The kids really enjoyed the lunches, so much so that it was difficult to get them to do anything in the afternoon because they ate so much… Thanks so much for all that you do to make our residential trips so successful. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much. The assistance in discussions beforehand was extremely valuable and helped arrange a fantastic visit. The venue is lovely, especially as we were lucky enough to be there in the great weather. The food and amount of food/ drinks available exceeded expectations. The activities and range of them; there were so many more we did not explore in our short time! Though I feel we partook in more than initially planned. It felt so safe and secure. From arrival, having never met any of the team, I felt welcomed and like part of the Belmont team, as if they were additional support, not ‘a company’ putting on activities. As a project worker taking a group of young people to a residential with one other project worker, I felt like I had full supportive team in Belmont and cannot wait to come back again with another group.
