Jamie Miller, Centre Manager, Dounans

Jamie has worked in Outdoor Education and Personal Development for over 20 years. He holds undergraduate and post graduate qualifications in Psychology and is a Winter Mountain Leader, rock climbing instructor, kayak coach and is an aspirant International Mountain Leader.

Jamie has worked as an Occupational Psychologist, University Lecturer, Outdoor Development Tutor and Expedition Leader. He has led numerous overseas expeditions including South Africa, Indian Himalaya, Tanzania (Kilimanjaro), Kenya (Mt. Kenya) and Iceland and was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society for youth development in this regard.

He is an outspoken advocate for the use of outdoor experiences as a vehicle for learning and development in young people. By combining his experience in adventurous pursuits with robust psychology he ensures that all participants at Dounans Centre have a meaningful and enduring learning experience.
