Accommodation
All SOEC Centres are different and each has their individual character and charm. Most accommodation is in self-contained timber cabins with a mixture of open plan dorm style rooms and smaller single or bunk bedded accommodation. Details of accommodation at individual Centres are listed on the relevant centre pages.
Bedrooms and dorms are basic but comfortable, and provide a cosy and restful place to relax after a hard day in the outdoors.
Loaningdale is different from all other Centres as the accommodation is located in a self-contained building. This has the advantage for group leaders and teachers of allowing monitoring of a larger group with one member of staff. Groups who book this Centre are also likely to have exclusive use of the accommodation.
SOEC provides all bed linen but customers will need to bring their own towels. Most rooms have shared shower and toilet facilities but some group leader and teacher rooms have private en-suites.
Additional Facilities
All Centres have comfortable lounges for teachers and group leaders, as well as recreational areas for the groups. In addition there are halls, classrooms and break out rooms that provide ideal spaces for reviewing sessions, planning or rehearsals for music and drama groups.
Each Centre has a large dining hall which provides nutritious and tasty meals in accordance with our healthy eating policy.
