Our Programmes

Groups with additional needs

Exploration, Education and Adventure with SOEC

Lothian Autistic SocietyThe Staff at SOEC love to work with other people.  By spending time with many different organisations and people we can understand their specific needs and collaborate to develop exciting new programmes.

Currently we’re working on collaborative programme with Lothian Autistic Society, funded by Scottish Natural Heritage.  Some of their young people are approaching school leaving age and were facing the prospect having the opportunities to get together reduced.  Following a discussion and training provided to SOEC tutors by LAS staff, we devised a day programme over 22 days and 1- months looking at the twin aims of determining the therapeutic value of the outdoors for these young people, and developing their employability skills.

We would like to talk with you about how we can help your group.

We appreciate the difficulty groups have in securing funding right now.  We would therefore like to make groups seeking bespoke programmes an offer to come in the autumn and spring period.  You will get a great bespoke programme, our best tutors, the same great food, (and no midges) but at a substantial discount off the standard price at other times of the year.
