Glengonnar Centre – A Template for the Future

Glengonnar Centre, based at Abington in South Lanarkshire, is one of SOEC’s oldest Centres, purchased in 1940. Located on the banks of the Clyde, Glengonnar has hosted school groups for over 45 years.

Although currently non-operational, Glengonnar is the focus of exciting plans to develop a site fit for the 21st century and fully informed by the principles of sustainability and experiential learning.

A feasibility study into the new Centre has been completed with the generous support of South Lanarkshire Council. Development of the new Centre will commence when full funding has been secured.
